Biologie moléculaire

Les plantes conservées en herbier contiennent toujours de l’ADN, même si il est en plus ou moins bon état. 1 cm2 de feuille séchée peut ainsi, quand cela est nécessaire et que le matériel est en quantité suffisante, être prélevé sur les parts d’herbier afin d’extraire la précieuse molécule et de l’amplifier, ce qui permet par la suite les mêmes analyses que sur des plantes fraîches.
